अशोभत मुखम् तस्य जृंभमाणस्य धीमतः ।
अंबरीष उपमम् दीप्तम् विधूम इव पावकः ॥ ॥४-६७-७॥
Aśobhata mukham tasya jṛmbhamāṇasya dhīmataḥ |
Ambarīṣa upamam dīptam vidhūma iva pāvakaḥ ॥4-67-7॥
Translation
The face of that wise Hanuman, as he yawned, shone like a frying pan (heated red) or like a smokeless burning fire.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जंभाई लेते हुए उन बुद्धिमान हनुमान का मुख, तेल में पकाने के पात्र (अंबरीष) जैसा अथवा बिना धुएं वाली प्रज्वलित अग्नि के समान सुशोभित हो रहा था।
English Commentary
This verse focuses on the intensity visible in Hanuman’s face. The metaphors are of intense heat: a red-hot frying pan (Ambarīṣa) and a smokeless fire. "Smokeless" signifies purity and efficiency—there is no waste, no doubt, and no hesitation clouding his intent. He is burning with pure energy. The adjective dhīmataḥ (wise) is used even amidst this display of raw power, reminding us that his strength is guided by intelligence.

यहाँ हनुमान जी के मुख के तेज का वर्णन है। 'अंबरीष' का अर्थ तपाया हुआ पात्र या कड़ाह है जो लाल हो जाता है। उनकी तुलना 'विधूम इव पावकः' (धुंए से रहित अग्नि) से की गई है, जो पूर्ण शुद्धता और प्रचंडता का प्रतीक है। धुआं अशुद्धि या बाधा का प्रतीक है; निर्धूम अग्नि बताती है कि हनुमान जी के मन में अब कोई संशय (धुआं) नहीं है, केवल शुद्ध संकल्प (अग्नि) है।
