वालिनः मे भय आर्तस्य सर्वलोक अभयंकर ।
मम अपि त्वम् अनाथस्य प्रसादम् कर्तुम् अर्हसि ॥ ॥४-८-१९॥
Vālinaḥ me bhaya ārtasya sarvaloka abhayaṃkara |
Mama api tvam anāthasya prasādam kartum arhasi ॥4-8-19॥
Translation
O Granter of fearlessness to all worlds! I am tormented by the fear of Vali and am destitute/helpless. You ought to bestow your grace/protection upon me as well.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सर्वलोकों को अभय (सुरक्षा) देने वाले राम! मैं बालि के भय से पीड़ित हूँ और अनाथ (बेसहारा) हूँ। मुझ पर भी आपको कृपा (प्रसाद) करनी चाहिए (मेरी रक्षा करें)।
English Commentary
Sugriva appeals to Rama's role as the cosmic protector with the epithet Sarvaloka abhayankara. This acknowledges Rama's divinity or supreme capability. Sugriva contrasts this with his own state: Anathasya (one without a lord/protector). Despite being a powerful Vanara, he feels orphaned without protection. He asks for Prasadam—not just help, but grace. He is essentially saying, "You save the whole world; please save this helpless one too." It is a plea for asylum.

यह प्रार्थना का चरम है। सुग्रीव राम को 'सर्वलोक अभयंकर' (सारे संसार का भय दूर करने वाले) कहते हैं। यह सुग्रीव की आस्था है कि राम केवल एक योद्धा नहीं, बल्कि एक रक्षक शक्ति हैं। सुग्रीव स्वयं को 'अनाथ' (जिसका कोई रक्षक न हो) कहते हैं, जबकि वे वानरराज थे। बालि के डर ने उन्हें भिखारी जैसा महसूस कराया है। वे राम से 'प्रसाद' (कृपा/रक्षा) की मांग करते हैं। यह शरणागति (Surrender) का भाव है।
