इमे हि मे महाभाग पत्रिणः तिग्म तेजसः ।
कार्तिकेय वन उद्भूताः शरा हेम विभूषिताः ॥ ॥४-८-२२॥
Ime hi me mahābhāga patriṇaḥ tigma tejasaḥ । Kārtikeya vana udbhūtāḥ śarā hema vibhūṣitāḥ ॥ ॥4-8-22॥
Translation
O illustrious one! Behold these arrows of mine, born from the reeds of Kartikeya’s forest, decorated with gold, and possessing fierce energy.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे महाभाग! कार्तिकेय के वन (सरकंडों) से उत्पन्न, सोने से विभूषित और तीव्र तेज वाले मेरे इन बाणों को देखो।
English Commentary
Rama realizes that Sugriva’s trauma stems from Vali’s seemingly invincible strength. To counter this psychological barrier, Rama draws attention to His divine weaponry. The reference to 'Kartikeya’s forest' implies a divine origin connected to the War God, Skanda, suggesting that these arrows possess supernatural potency. By showing the physical instruments of Vali's destruction, Rama aims to replace Sugriva's abstract fear with tangible confidence in his new ally's capability.

सुग्रीव के मन में वाली की शक्ति का भय इतना गहरा था कि साधारण आश्वासन पर्याप्त नहीं था। इसलिए श्रीराम अपने दिव्य आयुधों का परिचय देते हैं। वे 'कार्तिकेय वन' का उल्लेख करते हैं, जो स्कंद (युद्ध के देवता) से संबंधित है, यह दर्शाने के लिए कि ये बाण साधारण नहीं, बल्कि दैवीय शक्ति से संपन्न हैं। 'महाभाग' शब्द का प्रयोग करके वे सुग्रीव का सम्मान बढ़ाते हैं और उन्हें विश्वास दिलाते हैं कि विजय निश्चित है।
