Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
हृष्टः कथय विस्रब्धो यावत् आरोप्यते धनुः ।
सृष्टः च हि मया बाणो निरस्तः च रिपुः तव ॥ ॥४-८-४४॥
Hṛṣṭaḥ kathaya visrabdho yāvat āropyate dhanuḥ । Sṛṣṭaḥ ca hi mayā bāṇo nirastaḥ ca ripuḥ tava ॥ ॥4-8-44॥
Translation
Speak happily and with confidence. Consider that the moment my bow is strung, the arrow is released by me, and your enemy is destroyed.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तुम प्रसन्न और निडर होकर कहो। जब तक मेरा धनुष चढ़ाया जाता है (उससे पहले ही समझो कि) मेरे द्वारा बाण छोड़ दिया गया और तुम्हारा शत्रु मारा गया।
English Commentary
Rama concludes with a supreme guarantee. He urges Sugriva to narrate the past without the burden of fear (visrabdho). The phrasing creates a collapse of time: the stringing of the bow, the release of the arrow, and the death of the enemy are presented as a simultaneous certainty. This absolute confidence is meant to completely liberate Sugriva from his anxiety so he can speak the truth clearly.
हिंदी टीका
यह श्लोक आत्मविश्वास और पराक्रम की पराकाष्ठा है। राम सुग्रीव से कहते हैं कि वे अपनी कहानी डर के साथ नहीं, बल्कि 'हृष्टः' (प्रसन्न) होकर सुनाएं। राम प्रतिज्ञा करते हैं कि धनुष पर बाण चढ़ाने की देर है, शत्रु का विनाश निश्चित है। यह 'काल' पर विजय प्राप्त करने जैसा कथन है—परिणाम (वाली वध) राम के संकल्प मात्र से तय हो चुका है।
