This verse concludes the Ocean's speech and begins the action. The argument rests on empathy for Hanuman’s physical exertion (śramam). The phrase niśamya lavaṇāmbhasaḥ (having heard the Salt-Ocean) implies obedience and respect. Mainaka, defined again by his golden core (hiraṇyanābha), prepares to break his centuries-long dormancy to serve the cause, transitioning the narrative from auditory to visual.

सागर की अंतिम दलील 'श्रम' (थकान) है। यद्यपि हनुमान थके नहीं दिख रहे थे, फिर भी 100 योजन की यात्रा में थकान संभावित है। 'लवणाम्भसः' (खारे पानी वाले सागर) की बात सुनकर मैनाक ने तुरंत प्रतिक्रिया दी। यह श्लोक संवाद और क्रिया (action) के बीच का सेतु है। 'निशम्य' का अर्थ है ध्यान से सुनकर। मैनाक ने अपने मित्र और आश्रयदाता सागर की आज्ञा को शिरोधार्य किया।
