द्र्शयामास शृङ्गाणि सागरेण नियोजितः ।
शातकुम्भमयैः शृङ्गैः सकिन्नरमहोरगैः ॥ ॥५-१-१०४॥
darśayāmāsa śṛṅgāṇi sāgareṇa niyojitaḥ । śātakumbhamayaiḥ śṛṅgaiḥ sakinnaramahoragaiḥ ॥ ॥5-1-104॥
Translation
Appointed by the Ocean, he displayed his peaks. Those peaks were made of gold and were inhabited by Kinnaras and great serpents.

सागर द्वारा नियुक्त किए जाने पर, उसने (मैनाक ने) अपनी चोटियाँ दिखाईं। वे चोटियाँ सोने (शातकुम्भ) की बनी थीं और उन पर किन्नर तथा बड़े-बड़े सर्प (महोरग) निवास करते थे।
English Commentary
Acting on the Ocean’s directive (sāgareṇa niyojitaḥ), Mainaka reveals his full grandeur. The specific mention of śātakumbhamaya (made of gold) peaks reinforces the visual splendor. The presence of Kinnaras (celestial musicians) and Mahoragas (great serpents) on these peaks adds a mythological density—Hanuman is encountering a fully populated divine realm rising from the deep, not just a barren rock.
