आदित्यशतसंकाशः सोऽभवद्गिरिसत्तमः ।
तमुत्थितमसंगेन हनुमानग्रतः स्थितम् ॥ ॥५-१-१०७॥
ādityaśatasaṃkāśaḥ so'bhavadgirisattamaḥ । tamutthit amasaṅgena hanumānagrataḥ sthitam ॥ ॥5-1-107॥
Translation
That best of mountains shone like a hundred suns. Hanuman saw him standing in front, having risen suddenly.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह पर्वत-श्रेष्ठ सौ सूर्यों के समान चमकने लगा। अचानक (बिना किसी बाधा के/असंग रूप से) सामने उठे हुए उस पर्वत को हनुमान ने देखा।
English Commentary
The visual intensity escalates to āditya-śata-saṃkāśaḥ—the brilliance of a hundred suns. This blinding grandeur confronts Hanuman directly in his path (agrataḥ sthitam). The word asaṅgena can imply "suddenly" or "without contact/support." Hanuman notices this massive, radiant form blocking his trajectory. For a warrior on a mission, a sudden, unexplained phenomenon is usually interpreted as a threat, setting up the conflict in the next verse.
हिंदी टीका
मैनाक का तेज अब चरम पर है—'आदित्यशतसंकाशः' (सौ सूर्यों के समान)। यह चमक इतनी तीव्र थी कि उसे अनदेखा नहीं किया जा सकता था। 'असंगेन' का अर्थ है 'बिना किसी आसक्ति के' या संदर्भानुसार 'अचानक/निर्बाध रूप से'। हनुमान जी, जो तीव्र गति से जा रहे थे, उन्होंने अचानक अपने मार्ग (अग्रतः) में इस विशालकाय और चमकीले अवरोध को खड़ा पाया। यहाँ से हनुमान की प्रतिक्रिया का चरण शुरू होता है।
