त्वन्निमित्तमनेनाहं बहुमानात्प्रचोदितः ।
योजनानां शतं चापि कपिरेष समाप्लुतः ॥ ॥५-१-११५॥
Tvannimittamanenāhaṃ bahumānātpracoditaḥ । Yojanānāṃ śataṃ cāpi kapireṣa samāplutaḥ ◆ ॥5-1-115॥
Translation
It is on your account that I have been urged by him (the Ocean) with great respect, saying 'This monkey has leapt to cross one hundred yojanas'.

तुम्हारे ही कारण इस (समुद्र) ने मुझे बहुत आदरपूर्वक प्रेरित किया है कि 'यह वानर सौ योजन लांघने के लिए कूदा है'।
English Commentary
Maināka clarifies the chain of command: he is acting under the respectful urging of the Ocean. The phrase bahumānāt pracoditaḥ (urged with great respect) shows the high esteem in which Hanumān is held. The explicit mention of yojanānāṃ śataṃ (one hundred yojanas) indicates that the Ocean is acutely aware of the physical strain Hanumān is undergoing. It highlights the empathy of the Ocean, who, despite being vast and formidable, is sensitive to the fatigue of a lone warrior crossing his waters.

यहाँ मैनाक स्पष्ट करते हैं कि वे स्वयं नहीं आए, बल्कि समुद्र ने उन्हें 'बहुमानात्' (अत्यंत आदर के साथ) भेजा है। समुद्र को हनुमान जी के परिश्रम का अहसास है। 'योजनानां शतं' (सौ योजन) का उल्लेख यह सिद्ध करता है कि समुद्र और मैनाक दोनों हनुमान जी की क्षमता और उनके कार्य की विशालता से परिचित हैं। यह श्लोक परोक्ष रूप से हनुमान जी के साहस की प्रशंसा है, जिसे देखकर अचेतन प्रकृति (पर्वत और समुद्र) भी द्रवित हो उठी है।
