Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ततोऽहं मानयामि त्वां मान्यो हि मम मारुतः ।
त्वया मे ह्येष संबन्धः कपिमुख्य महागुणः ॥ ॥५-१-१२८॥
Tato'haṃ mānayāmi tvāṃ mānyo hi mama mārutaḥ । Tvayā me hyeṣa saṃbandhaḥ kapimukhya mahāguṇaḥ ॥ ॥5-1-128॥
Translation
Therefore, I honor you, for the Wind God is venerable to me. O chief of monkeys! This connection I have with you is indeed based on great virtues.
हिंदी अनुवाद
इसी कारण मैं आपका सम्मान कर रहा हूँ, क्योंकि पवनदेव मेरे लिए माननीय हैं। हे कपिमुख्य! आपके साथ मेरा यह सम्बन्ध (गुणों पर आधारित) महान है।
English Commentary
Maināka draws the logical conclusion from his story. Because Vāyu is mānya (worthy of honor) to him, Hanumān is automatically honored. He reiterates the sambandha (bond), describing it as mahāguṇa (of great quality/virtue). It is a bond forged in crisis and preserved through gratitude. By accepting the hospitality, Hanumān would be validating this virtuous bond between the elements of nature (Wind and Mountain).

कथा समाप्त कर मैनाक निष्कर्ष पर आते हैं। चूंकि वायु मेरे लिए पूज्य हैं, इसलिए उनका पुत्र होने के नाते आप भी पूज्य हैं। वे इस संबंध को 'महागुण' कहते हैं क्योंकि यह कृतज्ञता, रक्षण और धर्म पर टिका है, न कि किसी स्वार्थ पर। मैनाक बार-बार हनुमान जी को याद दिला रहे हैं कि यह सत्कार कोई औपचारिकता नहीं, बल्कि एक पवित्र कर्तव्य का पालन है।
