तद्धितीयं हनुमतो दृष्ट्वा कर्म सुदुष्करम् ।
प्रशशंसुः सुराः सर्वे सिद्धाश्च परमर्षयः ॥ ॥५-१-१३७॥
Taddvitīyaṃ hanumato dṛṣṭvā karma suduṣkaram । Praśaśaṃsuḥ surāḥ sarve siddhāśca paramarṣayaḥ ॥ ॥5-1-137॥
Translation
Seeing that second extremely difficult deed of Hanumān, all the gods, Siddhas, and great sages praised him.

हनुमान जी के उस दूसरे अत्यंत कठिन कर्म को देखकर सभी देवताओं, सिद्धों और परम ऋषियों ने उनकी प्रशंसा की।
English Commentary
The text explicitly counts this as the dvitīyam karma (second deed). The first was the leap itself; the second was the conquest of the temptation to rest. Overcoming the desire for comfort when one is fatigued is often harder than the exertion itself. The celestial observers classify this as suduṣkaram (very difficult to do). By rejecting the "good" (rest) for the "necessary" (duty), Hanumān demonstrated spiritual maturity, earning the applause of the sages and gods watching from above.

यहाँ 'द्वितीयं कर्म' (दूसरा कर्म) का उल्लेख महत्वपूर्ण है। पहला कठिन कर्म था—विशाल समुद्र को लांघने के लिए छलांग लगाना। दूसरा कठिन कर्म था—विश्राम के सुगम अवसर (मैनाक) को ठुकरा कर निरंतरता बनाए रखना। शारीरिक श्रम से मानसिक संयम अधिक कठिन होता है। 'सुदुष्करम्' (अत्यंत दुष्कर) शब्द बताता है कि देवताओं की दृष्टि में भी सुख का त्याग करना आसान नहीं है। इसी संयम को देखकर आकाशचारी सिद्ध और ऋषि उनकी प्रशंसा कर रहे हैं।
