चकार सुरसा व्क्त्रम्शीतीयोजनोच्छ्रितम् ।
हनुमानचलप्रख्यो नवतीयोजनोच्छ्रितः ॥५-१-१६६॥
cakāra surasā vaktramaśītiyojanocchritam |
hanumānacalaprakhyo navatīyojanocchritaḥ ॥5-1-166॥
Translation
Surasa made her mouth eighty yojanas high. Hanuman, resembling a mountain, became ninety yojanas high.
हिंदी अनुवाद
सुरसा ने अपना मुख अस्सी योजन ऊंचा किया। तब पर्वत के समान हनुमान नब्बे योजन ऊंचे हो गए।
English Commentary
Surasa reaches 80 yojanas, and Hanuman counters with 90. He is described as acalaprakhyo (resembling a mountain), reinforcing his stability and massive physical reality. Despite being in the air, he has the solidity of a mountain. This escalation is approaching a critical mass. The reader anticipates a climax, as this linear progression cannot continue indefinitely without breaking the bounds of the physical world.

सुरसा 80 योजन तक पहुंच गईं, और हनुमान 90 योजन। हनुमान जी की तुलना 'अचलप्रख्यो' (पर्वत के समान) से की गई है। आकाश में उड़ते हुए वे एक स्वर्ण पर्वत की तरह लग रहे थे। 90 योजन का आकार लगभग 700-1000 किलोमीटर का विस्तार है, जो कल्पना से परे है। यह द्वंद्व अब अपनी चरम सीमा पर पहुंच रहा है। सुरसा अपनी पूरी शक्ति लगा रही हैं, और हनुमान जी उसे निरर्थक सिद्ध कर रहे हैं।
