Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
घनराजीव गर्जन्ती वानरं समभिद्रवत् ।
स ददर्श ततस्तस्या विवृतं सुमहन्मुखम् ॥ ॥५-१-१९०॥
Ghanarājīva garjantī vānaraṃ samabhidravat |
Sa dadarśa tatastasyā vivṛtaṃ sumahanmukham ॥5-1-190॥
Translation
Roaring like a row of storm clouds, she rushed towards the Vanara. He then observed her widely opened, massive mouth.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बादलों की पंक्ति के समान गर्जना करती हुई वह वानर की ओर दौड़ी। तब उस वानर ने उसके खुले हुए अत्यंत विशाल मुख को देखा।
English Commentary
Simhika attacks with sound and fury, roaring like storm clouds (ghanarājī). She rushes headlong at Hanuman. However, the verse notes that Hanuman simply observed (dadarśa). While she acts out of predatory aggression, he acts out of calculated observation. He focuses on the vivṛtam mukham (open mouth), identifying it not just as a threat, but as the entry point for his counter-attack.

सिंहिका का आक्रमण भयानक था। 'घनराजीव गर्जन्ती'—उसकी गर्जना बादलों के समान थी। वह हनुमान जी की ओर झपटी। इस तनावपूर्ण क्षण में भी हनुमान जी की दृष्टि अत्यंत विश्लेषणात्मक थी। वे भयभीत होने के बजाय उसके खुले हुए मुख का निरीक्षण कर रहे थे। युद्ध में शत्रु के आक्रमण के क्षण को ही उसके वध का अवसर बना लेना हनुमान जी की युद्ध-नीति का हिस्सा है।
