ततस्तस्या नखैस्तीक्णैर्मर्माण्युत्कृत्य वानरः ।
उत्पपाताथ वेगेन मनः संपातविक्रमः ॥ ॥५-१-१९४॥
tatastasyā nakhaistīkṇairmarmāṇyutkṛtya vānaraḥ । utpapātātha vegena manaḥ saṃpātavikramaḥ ॥ ॥5-1-194॥
Translation
Then, tearing apart her vital organs with his sharp nails, the Vanara flew up with speed comparable to the movement of the mind.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर उस वानर (हनुमान) ने अपने तीखे नखों से उसके मर्म स्थानों को विदीर्ण कर दिया और मन की गति (मनः संपात) के समान वेग से ऊपर उड़ चले।
English Commentary
The precise terminology used here highlights Hanuman's martial expertise. Marmāṇi refers to the vital points in the body which, if damaged, cause instant death. Hanuman does not merely wound her; he excises these vital points from within using his diamond-hard claws. The phrase manaḥ saṃpātavikramaḥ is philosophically significant; it denotes speed that rivals the "flight of the mind." In Vedic thought, the mind (manas) is considered the fastest entity. This descriptor emphasizes that the act of killing and exiting was nearly instantaneous.
हिंदी टीका
हनुमान जी की शल्य-क्रिया (surgical strike) की निपुणता यहाँ दर्शनीय है। उन्होंने केवल प्रहार नहीं किया, बल्कि 'मर्माणि उत्कृत्य'—अर्थात् उसके प्राण-मर्मों को जड़ से उखाड़ दिया। यहाँ हनुमान जी के लिए 'मनः संपातविक्रमः' विशेषण का प्रयोग किया गया है। जिस प्रकार मन क्षण भर में कहीं भी पहुँच सकता है, उसी प्रकार हनुमान जी ने सूक्ष्म रूप धरकर सिंहिका के शरीर के भीतर प्रवेश किया, उसका संहार किया और पलक झपकते ही बाहर निकल आए। यह शारीरिक बल के साथ-साथ अकल्पनीय गति का भी परिचायक है।
