साधयार्थमभिप्रेतमरिष्टं प्लवतां वर ।
यस्य त्वेतानि चत्वारि वानरेन्द्र यथा तव ॥ ॥५-१-१९८॥
sādhayārthamabhipretamariṣṭaṃ plavatāṃ vara । yasya tvetāni catvāri vānarendra yathā tava ॥ ॥5-1-198॥
Translation
"Accomplish your intended purpose without misfortune, O best of leapers! O King of Vanaras, one who possesses these four qualities as you do..."
हिंदी अनुवाद
(वे बोले) "हे प्लवगश्रेष्ठ! तुम कल्याणपूर्वक अपना अभीष्ट कार्य सिद्ध करो। हे वानरेन्द्र! जिस प्रकार तुममें ये चार गुण विद्यमान हैं..." (अगले श्लोक में गुण वर्णित हैं)।
English Commentary
The celestial beings transition from praise to benediction. They urge him to Sādhaya (accomplish/conquer) his goal Ariṣṭam (safely/without bad omens). This marks a crucial threshold in the Sundara Kanda; having overcome the obstacles of the ocean (Mainaka, Surasa, Simhika), Hanuman is now spiritually endorsed to enter the enemy territory. The phrasing sets up a causal link: success is not accidental but is the result of specific traits possessed by the protagonist.
हिंदी टीका
यह श्लोक एक आशीर्वाद (Benediction) है। आकाशचारी प्राणी हनुमान जी को लंका जाने और सीता जी की खोज करने के 'अभिप्रेत अर्थ' (इच्छित लक्ष्य) की सफलता के लिए शुभकामना दे रहे हैं। 'अरिष्टं' का अर्थ है 'बिना किसी विघ्न या अमंगल के'। यहाँ 'यथा तव' (जैसे तुममें हैं) कहकर यह संकेत दिया गया है कि हनुमान जी इन गुणों के आदर्श (role model) हैं। यह श्लोक अगले श्लोक की भूमिका (prelude) है, जो प्रबंधन और नीतिशास्त्र का एक प्रसिद्ध सूत्र है।
