हारनूपुरकेयूरपारिहार्यधराः स्त्रियः ।
विस्मिताः सस्मितास्तस्थुराकाशे रमणैः सह ॥५-१-२६॥
hāranūpurakeyūrapārihāryadharāḥ striyaḥ |
vismitāḥ sasmitāstasthurākāśe ramaṇaiḥ saha ॥5-1-26॥
Translation
Wearing necklaces, anklets, armlets, and bracelets, the women stood in the sky with their lovers, astonished yet smiling.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हार, नूपुर (पायल), बाजूबंद और कड़े (पारिहार्य) पहने हुए स्त्रियां आश्चर्यचकित होकर, मुस्कुराहट के साथ अपने पतियों (रमणों) के साथ आकाश में स्थित हो गईं।
English Commentary
The reaction of the Vidyadhara women adds a layer of aesthetic grace to the chaotic scene. They are decked in heavy jewelry—anklets, armlets, and necklaces—chiming as they ascend. Their expression is complex: 'Vismitah Sasmitah' (astonished and smiling). While the initial tremor caused fear, the safety of the sky and the spectacle of the colossal Vanara turn their fear into wonderment. Standing with their lovers ('Ramanaih saha'), they become spectators in the celestial gallery, witnessing history unfolding beneath them.

विद्याधर स्त्रियों की प्रतिक्रिया भय और कौतूहल का मिश्रण है। वे पूरी तरह आभूषणों से लदी हुई हैं, जो उनके भागने में बाधक हो सकते थे, किन्तु उनकी आकाश में उड़ने की शक्ति ने उन्हें बचा लिया। 'विस्मिताः सस्मिताः' (आश्चर्यचकित और मुस्कुराती हुई) एक बहुत ही सुंदर विरोधाभास है। पहले वे पर्वत हिलने से डरीं, लेकिन आकाश में सुरक्षित पहुंचने पर और नीचे हनुमान जी के अद्भुत रूप को देखकर उनके चेहरों पर विस्मय भरी मुस्कान आ गई। यह मुस्कान उस अद्भुत (miraculous) दृश्य के प्रति उनकी प्रतिक्रिया है।
