यदि वा त्रिदिवे सीतां न द्रक्ष्याम्यकृतश्रमः ।
बद्ध्वा राक्षसराजानमानयिष्यामि रावणम् ॥ ॥५-१-४१॥
yadi vā tridive sītāṃ na drakṣyāmyakṛtaśramaḥ |
baddhvā rākṣasarājānamānayiṣyāmi rāvaṇam ॥5-1-41॥
Translation
If I do not see Sita even in heaven—without feeling any fatigue—I will bind the King of Demons, Ravana, and bring him here.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यदि बिना परिश्रम के ही (आसानी से) स्वर्ग में भी सीता को नहीं देख सकूंगा, तो मैं राक्षसराज रावण को बांधकर यहाँ ले आऊंगा।
English Commentary
Hanuman escalates his vow from a search mission to a capture mission. If the search in Lanka and Heaven fails, he implies that the only one with the answer is Ravana. Therefore, he vows to capture the demon king alive and drag him to the Vanaras. The term akṛtaśramaḥ (without fatigue/effort) highlights his supreme confidence; traversing worlds is effortless for him. This signifies that he does not view Ravana as a threat, but merely as a culprit to be apprehended if the initial search yields no results.

यहाँ हनुमान जी के विकल्पों में आक्रामकता आ जाती है। यदि खोज (search) असफल रहती है, तो वे बल प्रयोग (force) पर उतर आएंगे। 'अकृतश्रमः' (बिना थके) शब्द विशेष ध्यान देने योग्य है—यह दर्शाता है कि स्वर्ग तक जाने और वापस आने में उन्हें कोई थकान नहीं होगी। रावण को बांधकर लाने की बात कहना यह सिद्ध करता है कि हनुमान जी रावण को अपने सामने तुच्छ समझते हैं और युद्ध की स्थिति में भी वे अकेले ही उस पर भारी पड़ेंगे।
