उत्पपाताथ वेगेन वेगवानविचारयन् ।
सुपर्णमिव चात्मानं मेने स कपिकुञ्जरः ॥ ॥५-१-४४॥
utpapātātha vegena vegavānavicārayan |
suparṇamiva cātmānaṃ mene sa kapikuñjaraḥ ॥5-1-44॥
Translation
...The swift one leapt up with great speed without any hesitation. That elephant among monkeys considered himself equal to Suparna (Garuda).
हिंदी अनुवाद
...अत्यंत वेगशाली वे (हनुमान) बिना किसी हिचकिचाहट के वेगपूर्वक उछल पड़े। उस कपिकुंजर ने स्वयं को गरुड़ (सुपर्ण) के समान माना।
English Commentary
The key term here is avicārayan (without hesitation or second thoughts). Doubt is the heaviest burden in any endeavor; by shedding it, Hanuman becomes light enough to fly. He leaps with explosive speed (vegena). Mentally, he identifies himself with Suparna (Garuda, the King of Birds). This identification is crucial because Garuda is the master of the skies. By invoking this archetype, Hanuman aligns his mindset with the master of flight, ensuring his psyche is as prepared as his body.

यहाँ दो शब्द बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हैं: 'अविचारयन्' और 'सुपर्णमिव'। 'अविचारयन्' का अर्थ है कि मन में लेशमात्र भी संदेह या द्वंद्व नहीं था; यह पूर्ण समर्पण की स्थिति है। उन्होंने स्वयं को 'सुपर्ण' (गरुड़) के समान माना। गरुड़ पक्षियों के राजा हैं और विष्णु के वाहन हैं; हनुमान जी स्वयं को उसी कक्षा का मानते हैं। यह अहंकार नहीं, बल्कि अपनी क्षमताओं का यथार्थ बोध है (self-actualization)। उड़ान भरते समय मानसिक स्थिति भी उड़ान भरने वाले पक्षी (गरुड़) जैसी होनी चाहिए।
