तमूरुवेगोन्मथिताःसालाश्चन्ये नगोत्तमाः।
अनुजग्मुर्हनूमन्तं सैन्या इव महीपतिम् ॥ ॥५-१-४८॥
tamūruvegonmathitāḥsālāścanye nagottamāḥ |
anujagmurhanūmantaṃ sainyā iva mahīpatim ॥5-1-48॥
Translation
Those Sala trees and other excellent trees, churned up by the speed of his thighs, followed Hanuman just as an army follows a king.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जांघों के वेग से उखाड़े गए वे साल और अन्य श्रेष्ठ वृक्ष हनुमान जी के पीछे वैसे ही चले जैसे सेना अपने राजा के पीछे चलती है।
English Commentary
The poet shifts the imagery from affection (relatives) to power and reverence. Now, the massive Sala trees following Hanuman are compared to an army (sainyā) following a King (mahīpatim). This changes the tone from sentimental to majestic. Hanuman is leading a charge, and even the inanimate trees are compelled to fall in line behind his commanding momentum. It reinforces his status as a leader and a warrior on a crucial mission.

पिछली उपमा 'प्रेम' (बंधु) की थी, यह उपमा 'सत्ता' और 'शक्ति' (राजा-सेना) की है। साल के वृक्ष बहुत ऊँचे और मजबूत होते हैं। उनका हनुमान जी के पीछे उड़ना ऐसा प्रतीत होता है जैसे कोई विशाल सेना अपने राजा (महीपतिम्) के पीछे मार्च कर रही हो। यह हनुमान जी के प्रभामंडल (aura) को और बढ़ाता है। वे आकाश में अकेले होते हुए भी अकेले नहीं लगते; प्रकृति उनकी अनुगामी बन गई है।
