ताराभिरभिरामाभिरुदिताभिरिवाम्बरम् ।
तस्याम्बरगतौ बाहू ददृशाते प्रसारितौ ॥ ॥५-१-५६॥
tārābhirabhirāmābhiruditābhirivāmbaram |
tasyāmbaragatau bāhū dadṛśāte prasāritau ॥5-1-56॥
Translation
His two outstretched arms in the sky appeared like the firmament adorned with risen, delightful stars.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आकाश में फैले हुए हनुमान जी के दोनों हाथ ऐसे दिखाई दे रहे थे, मानो उदित हुए सुंदर नक्षत्रों से युक्त आकाश हो (उनके नखों और अंगुलियों की चमक के कारण)।
English Commentary
Focusing on Hanuman's anatomy as he flies, Valmiki describes his outstretched arms. The arms are compared to the sky lit with rising stars. This simile likely alludes to the sparkling nails of the Vanara or perhaps the jewelry/rings he might be wearing (remembering he carries Rama's ring). By comparing his arms to the sky itself, the poet emphasizes their massive span—they are not just limbs, but encompass the horizon. The word abhirāmābhiḥ (delightful/beautiful) suggests that despite his martial mission, his form remains aesthetically pleasing and auspicious.
हिंदी टीका
कवि अब हनुमान जी के शारीरिक अंगों का वर्णन कर रहे हैं। हवा को चीरते हुए आगे बढ़ने के लिए हनुमान जी ने अपने हाथ फैला रखे हैं। उनके हाथों की तुलना 'ताराभिरभिरामाभिरुदिताभिरिवाम्बरम्' (तारों से युक्त सुंदर आकाश) से की गई है। संभवतः यह उपमा उनके नखों की चमक या उनकी अंगुलियों में पहनी हुई मुद्रिकाओं (अंगूठियों) की चमक के कारण दी गई है। जिस प्रकार आकाश में तारे चमकते हैं, वैसे ही विशालकाय हनुमान जी के फैले हुए हाथों पर नख या आभूषण चमक रहे थे। यह उपमा उनके हाथों की विशालता और दिव्यता दोनों को सिद्ध करती है।
