ऋषयस्तुष्टुवुश्चैव प्लवमानं विहायसा ।
जगुश्च देवगन्धर्वाः प्रशंसन्तो महौजसम् ॥ ॥५-१-८५॥
ṛṣayastuṣṭuvuścaiva plavamānaṃ vihāyasā । jaguśca devagandharvāḥ praśaṃsanto mahaujasam ॥ ॥5-1-85॥
Translation
The Rishis praised him as he flew through the sky, and the Devas and Gandharvas sang, extolling the mighty one.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आकाश मार्ग से उड़ते हुए उस महातेजस्वी (हनुमान) की ऋषियों ने स्तुति की, और देवता तथा गंधर्वों ने उनकी प्रशंसा करते हुए गीत गाए।
English Commentary
This verse establishes the celestial atmosphere surrounding Hanuman’s leap. It is not a silent journey; it is accompanied by the benedictions of the sages (Rishis) and the songs of celestial beings (Devas and Gandharvas). The term mahaujasam (one of great vitality/luster) highlights the aura radiating from Hanuman. In Indian epic tradition, the approval of Rishis confirms that the hero's action aligns with Dharma (righteousness). Their praise acts as a spiritual wind beneath his wings.

हनुमान जी की यात्रा केवल एक शारीरिक क्रिया नहीं, बल्कि एक यज्ञ के समान पवित्र कार्य बन गई है। 'ऋषयः तुष्टुवुः'—ऋषियों द्वारा स्तुति करना यह दर्शाता है कि उनका कार्य धर्म सम्मत है। देवता और गंधर्व, जो कला और संगीत के प्रेमी हैं, हनुमान जी के 'महौजसम्' (महान ओज) को देखकर इतना प्रभावित हुए कि वे गीत गाने लगे। यह श्लोक बताता है कि जब कोई उच्च उद्देश्य के लिए पराक्रम दिखाता है, तो पूरी सृष्टि उसका गुणगान करती है। यह 'मङ्गल-ध्वनि' हनुमान जी के उत्साह को बढ़ाने वाली है।
