अस्माकमतिथिश्चैव पूज्यश्च प्लवतां वरः ।
चामीकरमहानाभ देवगन्धर्व सेवित ॥ ॥५-१-९९॥
asmākam atithiścaiva pūjyaśca plavatāṃ varaḥ । cāmīkaramahānābha devagandharvasevita ॥ ॥5-1-99॥
Translation
"O Mainaka with the great golden nave, served by Devas and Gandharvas! This best of monkeys is our guest and is worthy of worship."

"हे स्वर्णमयी विशाल नाभि वाले और देव-गंधर्वों द्वारा सेवित मैनाक! ये वानर-श्रेष्ठ हमारे अतिथि हैं और पूजनीय भी।"
English Commentary
The Ocean appeals to the ancient code of hospitality. By designating Hanuman as an atithi (guest), he binds Mainaka to the sacred laws of host-guest protocol. The address Cāmīkara-mahānābha (One with a great center/nave of gold) vividly describes Mainaka’s composition—he is a golden mountain. Being "served by Devas and Gandharvas" indicates that Mainaka is a celestial entity accustomed to high-profile visitors, making him the perfect host for the divine messenger.

भारतीय संस्कृति में 'अतिथि देवो भव' सर्वोच्च मूल्य है। सागर कहते हैं कि हनुमान हमारे 'अतिथि' हैं, इसलिए उनका सत्कार करना हमारा धर्म है। मैनाक को 'चामीकर-महानाभ' (जिसका मध्य भाग सोने का है) कहकर संबोधित किया गया है, जो उसकी समृद्धि और सुंदरता को दर्शाता है। 'देवगन्धर्व सेवित' विशेषण यह बताता है कि मैनाक कोई साधारण पत्थर का पहाड़ नहीं, बल्कि एक दिव्य स्थान है जहाँ देवता भी आते-जाते हैं, अतः वह हनुमान के सत्कार के योग्य है।
