Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
क्वचित् प्रभिन्नैः करकैः क्वचिद् आलोडितैर् घटैः ।
क्वचित् सम्पृक्त माल्यानि जलानि च फलानि च ॥ ॥५-११-२७॥
kvacit prabhinnaiḥ karakaiḥ kvacid āloḍitair ghaṭaiḥ । kvacit sampṛkta mālyāni jalāni ca phalāni ca ॥ ॥5-11-27॥
Translation
(He saw) broken pitchers somewhere, pots stirred up/overturned somewhere, and water and fruits mixed with garlands somewhere.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कहीं टूटे हुए करवे (सुराहियाँ), कहीं लुढ़के हुए घड़े, और कहीं फूलों की मालाओं से मिश्रित जल और फल (बिखरे पड़े थे)।
English Commentary
The scene culminates in images of destruction. Prabhinnaih (broken/shattered) vessels and overturned pots suggest a rowdy, violent end to the festivities. The mixture of water, fruit, and garlands creates a slurry on the floor, stripping these items of their individual beauty. It serves as a potent metaphor for the degradation of virtue and order in the pursuit of unbridled hedonism. Hanuman stands amidst this wreckage of pleasure, representing the impending restoration of order (Dharma).

यह पानभूमि के वर्णन का अंतिम दृश्य है जो पूर्ण विध्वंस या अराजकता (chaos) जैसा लगता है। नशे में धुत राक्षसों ने सुराहियाँ तोड़ दीं ('प्रभिन्नैः') और घड़े उलट दिए। जल, फल और फूलों का कीचड़ जैसा मिश्रण बन गया है। यह दृश्य 'तमस' (अंधकार/अज्ञान) का चरम है—जहाँ सुंदरता और संसाधन नष्ट हो गए हैं। यह रावण के पतन का एक सूक्ष्म संकेत (foreshadowing) भी हो सकता है—कि उसका वैभव इसी तरह बिखरने वाला है।
