उत्पतन् निपतन् च अपि तिष्ठन् गच्छन् पुनः क्वचित् ।
अपावृण्वन् च द्वाराणि कपाटानि अवघट्टयन् ॥ ॥५-१२-१५॥
Utpatan nipatan cāpi tiṣṭhan gacchan punaḥ kvacit |
Apāvṛṇvan ca dvārāṇi kapāṭāni avaghaṭṭayan ॥5-12-15॥
Translation
Flying up and jumping down, standing still and then going somewhere else again; opening doors and pushing open panels/shutters.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे (हनुमान) कभी ऊपर उछलते, कभी नीचे कूदते, कभी एक जगह खड़े होते, कभी फिर कहीं चले जाते। वे द्वारों को खोलते और किवाड़ों को (जोर से) धकेलते/खटखटाते।
English Commentary
This verse is a masterclass in kinetic imagery. It uses a series of present participles to convey rapid, restless motion: Utpatan (flying up), Nipatan (leaping down), Tiṣṭhan (pausing), Gacchan (moving). It captures the frantic energy of the search. Hanuman is no longer just observing; he is physically interacting with the environment—opening (Apāvṛṇvan) doors and pushing (Avaghaṭṭayan) panels. This breaks the stealth mode to some extent, showing his desperation. It reflects the erratic but purposeful movement of a Vanara, utilizing his natural agility to cover vertical and horizontal spaces instantly.

यह श्लोक हनुमान जी की शारीरिक क्रियाओं (Body Language) का अद्भुत चित्रण है। इसमें 'गति' (Motion) है। 'उत्पतन्' (उछलना) और 'निपतन्' (कूदना) वानर स्वभाव को दर्शाता है। वे अति-सक्रिय (Hyper-active) हैं। 'अपावृण्वन् च द्वाराणि' (दरवाजे खोलते हुए) — यह उनकी निर्भीकता को दिखाता है; वे अब छिपकर नहीं, बल्कि आक्रामक होकर खोज रहे हैं। 'अवघट्टयन्' का अर्थ है किवाड़ों को धक्का देना या खोलना। यह दृश्य किसी 'एक्शन' दृश्य जैसा है जहाँ नायक तेजी से हर कमरे की तलाशी ले रहा है। उनकी बेचैनी और तत्परता इन क्रियाओं में स्पष्ट झलक रही है।
