विमानात् तु सुसम्क्रम्य प्राकारम् हरि यूथपः ।
हनूमान् वेगवान् आसीद् यथा विद्युद् घन अन्तरे ॥ ॥५-१३-१॥
Vimānāt tu susaṃkramya prākāram hari yūthapaḥ । Hanūmān vegavān āsīd yathā vidyud ghana antare ॥ ॥5-13-1॥
Translation
Jumping well from the aerial car to the rampart, the monkey leader Hanuman was swift like lightning within a cloud.

विमान से परकोटे (दीवार) पर भली-भाँति कूदकर/जाकर, वानर यूथपति हनुमान बादलों के बीच बिजली के समान वेगवान हो गए।
English Commentary
This verse marks a shift in energy as Chapter 13 begins. Shaking off the paralysis of grief, Hanuman moves with explosive speed. Transitioning from the Pushpaka to the outer wall (prākāram), he is compared to vidyud (lightning) inside a ghana (cloud). This simile is multi-layered: it describes his golden complexion against the dark night or architecture, his speed, and the latent power he holds. Despite the internal gloom mentioned earlier, his external actions remain sharp and electric. He is the Hari yūthapaḥ (leader of monkey troops), and he acts with the agility expected of his station.

सुंदरकाण्ड का 13वां सर्ग हनुमान जी की गतिशीलता की वापसी के साथ शुरू होता है। पिछले सर्ग की निराशा के बाद, वे निष्क्रिय नहीं बैठते। 'हरि यूथपः' (वानरों के सेनापति) के रूप में वे विमान से परकोटे पर छलांग लगाते हैं। उनकी गति की तुलना 'विद्युद् घन अन्तरे' (बादलों के बीच बिजली) से की गई है। जैसे काले बादलों (निराशा या लंका का वातावरण) के बीच बिजली चमकती है, वैसे ही हनुमान जी अपनी ऊर्जा पुनः संचित कर तेजी से आगे बढ़ते हैं। यह उपमा उनके उज्ज्वल वर्ण और उनकी अदम्य ऊर्जा दोनों को दर्शाती है।
