किष्किन्धां समनुप्राप्तौ तौ वा दशरथात्मजौ ।
गत्वा तु यदि काकुत्स्थं वक्ष्यामि परमप्रियम् ॥ ॥५-१३-२३॥
Kiṣkindhām samanuprāptau tau vā Daśarathātmajau । Gatvā tu yadi Kākutsthaṃ vakṣyāmi param apriyam ॥ ॥5-13-23॥
Translation
"Upon reaching Kishkindha, where the two sons of Dasharatha are, if I go to Kakutstha (Rama) and tell him the extremely unpleasant news..."

"किष्किन्धा पहुँचकर, वहाँ विराजमान उन दोनों दशरथकुमारों (राम और लक्ष्मण) के पास जाकर, यदि मैं काकुत्स्थ (राम) को यह परम अप्रिय (अत्यंत कड़वा) समाचार सुनाऊँगा..."
English Commentary
The focus shifts from the monkeys to the masters. Hanuman visualizes the moment of reporting to the Dasharathatmajau (sons of Dasharatha). The use of the lineage title Kakutstha for Rama emphasizes his nobility, which makes the delivery of param apriyam (supremely unpleasant) news even more painful. Hanuman realizes that he holds the power to break the heart of the strongest warrior on earth with just a few words.

हनुमान जी कल्पना में उस दृश्य का चित्रण कर रहे हैं जब वे राम के सम्मुख होंगे। राम को 'दशरथात्मजौ' (दशरथ के पुत्र) और 'काकुत्स्थं' (ककुत्स्थ कुल के वंशज) कहकर वे उनके राजसी और क्षत्रिय दायित्वों का स्मरण कर रहे हैं, जो सीता के वियोग में निरर्थक हो रहे हैं। 'परम अप्रियम्' (Extremely unpleasant) सत्य यह है कि "सीता नहीं मिलीं"। हनुमान जानते हैं कि यह शब्द राम के हृदय पर वज्र के समान गिरेगा।
