बिभ्यतो रामबाणानामन्तरा पतिता भवेत् ।

English Commentary
Hanuman speculates that Ravana, despite his arrogance, might have been terrified of Rama's retaliation (Rama-bananam). In this panic, Ravana might have dropped Sita from the sky to escape faster or to distract Rama. The mention of the "path frequented by Siddhas" (siddha-nishevite) elevates the setting to the celestial sphere, emphasizing the fatal height from which she would have fallen. This verse highlights Hanuman’s unshakeable faith in Rama’s prowess—that even in absence, the mere thought of Rama’s arrows strikes terror in the enemy.

यहाँ रावण के मन में श्री राम के पराक्रम के प्रति भय का अनुमान हनुमान जी लगा रहे हैं। उन्हें लगता है कि शायद रावण को लगा हो कि राम उसका पीछा कर रहे हैं, और 'बिभ्यतो' (डरते हुए) उसने सीता जी को आकाश से नीचे गिरा दिया हो। 'सिद्धनिषेविते पथि' (आकाश मार्ग) का उल्लेख यह बताता है कि यह घटना सामान्य धरातल पर नहीं, अपितु ऊंचाइयों पर घटी थी। हनुमान जी का यह तर्क रावण की कायरता और राम के शौर्य दोनों को सिद्ध करता है, भले ही यह केवल एक कल्पना है।
