Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
हनूमता वेगवता कम्पिताः ते नग उत्तमाः ।
पुष्प पर्ण फलानि आशु मुमुचुः पुष्प शालिनः ॥ ॥५-१४-१६॥
hanūmatā vegavatā kampitāḥ te naga uttamāḥ । puṣpa parṇa phalāni āśu mumucuḥ puṣpa śālinaḥ ॥ ॥5-14-16॥
Translation
Shaken by the speedy Hanuman, those excellent trees, rich in blossoms, quickly shed their flowers, leaves, and fruits.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वेगवान हनुमान द्वारा कम्पित किए गए उन श्रेष्ठ वृक्षों ने, जो फूलों से सुशोभित थे, शीघ्र ही अपने फूल, पत्ते और फलों को त्याग दिया।
English Commentary
This verse reiterates the mechanics of the scene with emphasis on the quality of the trees. They are called naga uttamāḥ (excellent trees/mountains of trees), implying they were sturdy and grand. Yet, under the influence of the vegavatā (speedy) Hanuman, they were forced to release (mumucuḥ) their biomass āśu (instantly). The repetition of these images serves to cement the magnitude of Hanuman's velocity and mass in the reader's mind. He is a force that even the "best of trees" cannot withstand without yielding.

यह श्लोक पिछले वर्णन की पुष्टि करता है। 'नग उत्तमाः' (श्रेष्ठ वृक्ष) शब्द बताता है कि वे वृक्ष कमजोर नहीं थे, बल्कि विशाल और मजबूत थे, फिर भी 'वेगवता' हनुमान के सामने वे टिक नहीं सके। 'आशु' (शीघ्रता से) शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है—यह क्रिया की तत्परता को दिखाता है। हनुमान का स्पर्श या धक्का लगते ही वृक्षों ने अपना भार त्याग दिया। यहाँ 'पुष्प शालिनः' (फूलों से सुशोभित) वृक्षों की पूर्व स्थिति थी, और 'मुमुचुः' (छोड़ दिया) उनकी वर्तमान स्थिति है।
