विहम्ग सम्घैर् हीनाः ते स्कन्ध मात्र आश्रया द्रुमाः ।
बभूवुर् अगमाः सर्वे मारुतेन इव निर्धुताः ॥ ॥५-१४-१७॥
vihamga samghair hīnāḥ te skandha mātra āśrayā drumāḥ । babhūvur agamāḥ sarve mārutena iva nirdhutāḥ ॥ ॥5-14-17॥
Translation
Abandoned by flocks of birds and retaining only their trunks, those trees became bare/unapproachable, as if shaken violently by the wind god.
हिंदी अनुवाद
पक्षियों के समूहों से रहित और केवल तनों (स्कन्ध) के सहारे खड़े वे वृक्ष ऐसे अगम्य (श्रीहीन) हो गए, मानो आंधी (मारुत) ने उन्हें झकझोर दिया हो।
English Commentary
The aftermath of Hanuman's movement is described here. The trees are now vihamga samghair hīnāḥ (bereft of flocks of birds) and reduced to skandha mātra (mere trunks/skeletons). The simile mārutena iva nirdhutāḥ (as if shaken by the wind) is technically a literal description since Hanuman is the son of the wind, but poetically it refers to a storm. The trees are stripped of the life (birds) and beauty (flowers) that defined them in the earlier verses, highlighting the formidable, almost storm-like nature of the Vanara warrior.

यहाँ हनुमान की तुलना साक्षात 'मारुत' (वायु/तूफान) से की गई है, जो कि उचित भी है क्योंकि वे वायुपुत्र हैं। वृक्षों की स्थिति दयनीय हो गई है—'विहम्ग सम्घैर् हीनाः' (पक्षी उन्हें छोड़कर उड़ गए हैं) और वे 'स्कन्ध मात्र आश्रया' (केवल तनों/शाखाओं का ढांचा) रह गए हैं। 'अगमाः' का अर्थ यहाँ वृक्षों का वह स्वरूप है जो अब आकर्षण रहित है या जहाँ अब कोई पक्षी नहीं जा रहा। यह श्लोक विध्वंस के बाद की शांति और रिक्तता (emptiness) को चित्रित करता है।
