स तु सम्हृष्ट सर्व अन्गः प्राकारस्थो महा कपिः ।
पुष्पित अग्रान् वसन्त आदौ ददर्श विविधान् द्रुमान् ॥ ॥५-१४-२॥
sa tu samhṛṣṭa sarva angaḥ prākārastho mahā kapiḥ |
puṣpita agrān vasanta ādau dadarśa vividhān drumān ॥5-14-2॥
Translation
Standing on the wall, that great monkey felt a thrill of joy in all his limbs. He saw various trees with flowering tops, appearing as if it were the beginning of spring.
हिंदी अनुवाद
प्राकार (दीवार) पर स्थित उन महाकपि का रोम-रोम हर्षित हो उठा। उन्होंने वसंत ऋतु के आरंभ की भाँति अग्रभाग में फूलों से लदे हुए विभिन्न प्रकार के वृक्षों को देखा।
English Commentary
Perched on the boundary wall, Hanuman experiences a sudden surge of physical joy (samhrishta sarva angah). This involuntary bodily reaction often signifies a good omen in the Ramayana, suggesting he is close to his goal. The description of the trees blooming as if it were early spring (vasanta adau) is significant. It implies an unnatural or supernatural abundance, characteristic of Ravana’s magical control over nature, or perhaps the environment responding to the presence of the divine Sita. The contrast between the stony wall and the lush, blooming interior marks the entry into a different realm within the city.

दीवार पर चढ़ते ही हनुमान जी की मानसिक स्थिति बदल जाती है। 'सम्हृष्ट सर्व अन्गः' (सारे अंग हर्षित हो गए) यह संकेत देता है कि उन्हें अच्छे शकुन मिल रहे हैं या स्थान की पवित्रता का आभास हो रहा है। यद्यपि लंका में अभी वसंत ऋतु नहीं थी, फिर भी रावण के उद्यान के वृक्ष 'वसंत आदौ' (वसंत की शुरुआत) की तरह खिले हुए थे। यह रावण के प्रभाव से प्रकृति के नियमों के उल्लंघन का संकेत हो सकता है, या उस वाटिका की दिव्यता का, जहाँ सीता का वास है। दृश्य इतना मनोहर है कि हनुमान जी क्षण भर के लिए अपनी थकान भूल जाते हैं।
