Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
न एषा पश्यति राक्षस्यो न इमान् पुष्प फल द्रुमान् ।
एकस्थ हृदया नूनम् रामम् एव अनुपश्यति ॥५-१६-२५॥
na eṣā paśyati rākṣasyo na imān puṣpa phala drumān |
ekastha hṛdayā nūnam rāmam eva anupaśyati ॥5-16-25॥
Translation
She does not see the demonesses, nor these trees with flowers and fruits; with her heart fixed on one object, she surely sees only Rama.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ये न तो इन राक्षसियों को देखती हैं और न ही इन फूलों और फलों से लदे वृक्षों को। एक ही स्थान (राम) पर स्थित हृदय वाली यह देवी निश्चय ही केवल राम को ही देख रही हैं (उनका ही ध्यान कर रही हैं)।
English Commentary
Hanuman observes Sita’s transcendent state. Although physically present in the grove, she is oblivious to her immediate surroundings—ignoring both the terrifying demonesses and the beautiful, fruit-laden trees. The term ekastha hṛdayā (heart stationed in one place) signifies absolute mental concentration. The verb anupaśyati implies continuous, meditative seeing. She is not merely remembering Rama; she is visualizing him with such intensity that he becomes her only reality, rendering the external world of Lanka invisible to her inner eye.

हनुमान जी सीता की समाधि-अवस्था का वर्णन कर रहे हैं। उनकी आँखें खुली हैं, किन्तु उनका मन बाह्य जगत से कट चुका है। भयानक राक्षसियाँ और सुंदर अशोक वाटिका के वृक्ष—दोनों ही उनके लिए अस्तित्वहीन हैं। 'एकस्थ हृदया' (जिसका दिल एक जगह स्थिर हो) और 'अनुपश्यति' (निरंतर देख रही हैं) शब्द बताते हैं कि यह साधारण याद नहीं, बल्कि गहन ध्यान है। सीता सशरीर लंका में हैं, लेकिन मानसिक रूप से वे राम के पास हैं। यह 'प्रोषितपतिका' नायिका की पराकाष्ठा है।
