इति एवम् अर्थम् कपिर् अन्ववेक्ष्य ।
सीता इयम् इति एव निविष्ट बुद्धिः ।
सम्श्रित्य तस्मिन् निषसाद वृक्षे ।
बली हरीणाम् ऋषभः तरस्वी ॥५-१६-३२॥
iti evam artham kapir anvavekṣya |
sītā iyam iti eva niviṣṭa buddhiḥ |
samśritya tasmin niṣasāda vṛkṣe |
balī harīṇām ṛṣabhaḥ tarasvī ॥5-16-32॥
Translation
Having thus observed the matter and firmly concluding "This is indeed Sita," the mighty and swift jewel among monkeys settled himself on that tree.
हिंदी अनुवाद
इस प्रकार के तथ्यों (लक्षणों) का भली-भांति निरीक्षण करके, "यह सीता ही हैं"—ऐसी बुद्धि (निश्चय) स्थिर करके, वानरों में श्रेष्ठ, बलवान और वेगवान हनुमान उसी वृक्ष पर छिपकर बैठ गए।
English Commentary
This verse concludes the 16th Sarga. Hanuman moves from analysis to conviction. Anvavekṣya (having observed/scrutinized) and niviṣṭa buddhiḥ (settled intellect) indicate that his identification of Sita is based on deduction and evidence, not just guess work. Once certain, he settles (niṣasāda) on the tree branch. The epithets used for him—balī (strong), harīṇām ṛṣabhaḥ (bull/best among monkeys), and tarasvī (swift/energetic)—shift the focus back to his capability, signaling that the observer is now ready to become the actor in the next phase of the mission.

यह सर्ग का अंतिम श्लोक है। हनुमान जी की मानसिक यात्रा पूरी हुई। 'अन्ववेक्ष्य' (जाँच-परख कर) और 'निविष्ट बुद्धि' (स्थिर बुद्धि) दर्शाते हैं कि हनुमान जी ने केवल भावुकता में नहीं, बल्कि तर्कों और लक्षणों के आधार पर निर्णय लिया है कि यह स्त्री सीता ही है। अब वे 'निषसाद' (बैठ गए/जम गए)—प्रतीक्षा करने के लिए। विशेषण 'बली' (बलवान), 'हरीणाम् ऋषभः' (वानर श्रेष्ठ) और 'तरस्वी' (वेगवान) उनके आगामी पराक्रम की ओर संकेत करते हैं। अब वे केवल दर्शक नहीं, बल्कि सक्रिय भूमिका निभाने के लिए तैयार हैं।
