Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
साचिव्यमिव कुर्वन् स प्रभया निर्मलप्रभः ।
चन्द्रमा रश्मभिः शीतैः सिषेवे पवनात्मजम् ।
।

sācivyamiva kurvan sa prabhayā nirmalaprabhaḥ |
candramā raśmabhiḥ śītaiḥ siṣeve pavanātmajam ॥5-17-2॥
Translation
With its clear radiance, the moon served the son of the Wind God with cool rays, acting as if it were his minister assisting him in his mission.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अपनी प्रभा से निर्मल प्रकाश वाले उस चन्द्रमा ने अपनी शीतल रश्मियों (किरणों) के द्वारा पवनपुत्र हनुमान की इस प्रकार सेवा की, मानो वह (राम का कार्य सिद्ध करने में) उनका सचिव (सहायक) बन गया हो।
English Commentary
This verse employs poetic personification. The moon is not just a celestial body here but an active participant in the divine mission, performing sācivyam (the duty of a minister or helper). By providing light to see and coolness to soothe, the moon assists Hanuman. This reflects the theme that nature aligns itself with Dharma; the environment cooperates with Hanuman because his intent is righteous.

यहाँ 'उत्प्रेक्षा' अलंकार है। कवि कल्पना करते हैं कि प्रकृति भी राम-काज में हनुमान की सहायता कर रही है। 'साचिव्यम' (सचिव का कर्म या सहायता) शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है। जैसे एक मंत्री राजा के कार्य को सुगम बनाता है, वैसे ही चन्द्रमा ने अपना प्रकाश फैलाकर हनुमान जी को दृश्यता (visibility) प्रदान की और अपनी शीतलता से उनकी थकान हर ली। यह दर्शाता है कि जब उद्देश्य महान होता है, तो ब्रह्मांडीय शक्तियाँ भी अनुकूल हो जाती हैं।
