अतिकायोत्तमाङ्गीं च तनुदीर्घशिरोधराम् ।
ध्वस्तकेशीम् तथाकेशीम् केशकम्बलधारिणीम् ।

atikāyottamāṅgīm ca tanudīrghaśirodharām |
dhvastakeśīm tathākeśīm keśakambaladhāriṇīm ॥5-17-6॥
Translation
One had a huge body and head, another a long thin neck; one had disheveled hair, another was hairless, and another had hair like a thick blanket.
हिंदी अनुवाद
किसी का शरीर और सिर बहुत विशाल था, किसी की गर्दन बहुत पतली और लंबी थी। किसी के बाल झड़े हुए थे, किसी के बाल ही नहीं थे, और किसी ने बालों को ही कम्बल की तरह ओढ़ा हुआ था (या जिसके बाल ऊनी कम्बल जैसे सख्त थे)।
English Commentary
The grotesque disproportion continues. An immense head on a thin neck (tanudīrghaśirodharām) creates a ghostly image. The hair descriptions vary from baldness to matted masses resembling blankets (keśakambala). These guardians are the antithesis of the feminine beauty ideals described in Sanskrit literature, emphasizing the harshness of Sita's prison.

यहाँ शारीरिक अनुपात की विषमता दिखाई गई है। विशाल सिर और पतली गर्दन ('तनुदीर्घशिरोधराम्') एक अस्थिर और डरावनी छवि बनाती है। बालों का वर्णन भी विचित्र है—'केशकम्बलधारिणीम्' का अर्थ है जिसके बाल इतने घने और जटा-युक्त हैं कि वे कम्बल जैसे लगते हैं। यह सौंदर्य के मानकों का पूर्ण विध्वंस है।
