Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
शक्या लोभयितुं नाहमैश्वर्येण धनेन वा ।
अनन्या राघवेणाहं भास्करेण प्रभा यथा ।

Śakyā lobhayituṃ nāhamaiśvaryeṇa dhanena vā |
Ananyā rāghaveṇāhaṃ bhāskareṇa prabhā yathā ॥5-19-14॥
Translation
"I cannot be tempted by power (sovereignty) or wealth. I am inseparable from Raghava (Rama), just as radiance is from the Sun."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"मैं ऐश्वर्य या धन से ललचाई (लोभयितुं) नहीं जा सकती। जैसे सूर्य (भास्कर) से उसकी प्रभा (धूप/रोशनी) अलग नहीं हो सकती, वैसे ही मैं राघव (राम) से अनन्य (अभिन्न) हूँ।"
English Commentary
Sita categorically rejects Ravana's transactional approach to relationships. He tried to woo her with aiśvarya (power/sovereignty) and dhana (wealth), but she declares herself incorruptible. She defines her relationship with Rama using the metaphor of Bhāskara (the Sun) and Prabhā (sunlight/radiance). This implies an organic, intrinsic unity rather than a contractual marriage. Just as light cannot be scraped off the sun, Sita cannot be separated from Rama. This ananyā (non-separateness) is the spiritual bedrock of her existence, making Ravana's offers seem absurd to her.

रावण ने सीता को पटरानी बनाने और धन-दौलत का प्रलोभन दिया था। सीता उसे स्पष्ट करती हैं कि वह इन भौतिक वस्तुओं से परे हैं। 'अनन्या' शब्द अद्वैत भाव को दर्शाता है—न अन्य (कोई दूसरा नहीं)। वह और राम दो शरीर होते हुए भी एक अस्तित्व हैं। उपमा 'भास्करेण प्रभा यथा' (जैसे सूर्य से उसकी प्रभा) अत्यंत सटीक है। प्रभा का अपना कोई स्वतंत्र अस्तित्व नहीं है सूर्य के बिना, और सूर्य प्रभा के बिना तेजहीन है। यह संबंध शाश्वत और नैसर्गिक है, जिसे कोई बाहरी शक्ति (धन/ऐश्वर्य) तोड़ नहीं सकती।
