इह शीघ्रं सुपर्वाणो ज्वलितास्या इवोरगाः ।
इषवो निपतिष्यन्ति रामलक्ष्मणलक्षणाः ।

iha śīghraṃ suparvāṇo jvalitāsyā ivoragāḥ । iṣavo nipatiṣyanti rāmalakṣmaṇalakṣaṇāḥ । । ॥5-19-21॥
Translation
Very soon, arrows marked with the names of Rama and Lakshmana, resembling snakes with flaming mouths, will fall here.

यहाँ शीघ्र ही, प्रज्वलित मुख वाले सर्पों के समान और राम-लक्ष्मण के नामों से चिह्नित बाण गिरेंगे।
English Commentary
Sita uses terrifying imagery to warn Ravana of his impending doom. She compares the arrows of Rama and Lakshmana to "snakes with flaming mouths" (jvalitāsyā ivoragāḥ), suggesting both speed and lethal venom. The arrows are described as suparvāṇo (having smooth joints/feathers) and are marked with the names of the princes (rāmalakṣmaṇalakṣaṇāḥ). This highlights the warrior code of the time where weapons bore the owner's insignia. Sita’s declaration implies that the destruction of Lanka will not be a random act of war, but a precise execution by the divine brothers.

माता सीता यहाँ रावण को आसन्न युद्ध की भयावहता का चित्रण करा रही हैं। वह 'सुपर्वाणो' (अच्छे पर्व/गाँठ वाले) बाणों की तुलना 'ज्वलितास्या इवोरगाः' (अग्निमुख सर्पों) से करती हैं। यह उपमा रावण के मन में भय उत्पन्न करने के लिए है। जैसे क्रुद्ध सर्प का डसना प्राणघातक होता है, वैसे ही राम के बाण अचूक और विनाशकारी होंगे। 'रामलक्ष्मणलक्षणाः' का अर्थ है कि उन बाणों पर उनके स्वामियों का नाम अंकित होगा, जो उस युग में योद्धाओं की पहचान होती थी। सीता जी का यह कथन उनके आत्मविश्वास को दर्शाता है कि राम अवश्य आएंगे।
