तस्य सर्वसमृद्धस्या रावणस्य महात्मनः ।
किमर्थं राक्षसेन्द्रस्य भार्यात्वं नेच्छसेऽधमे ।

tasya sarvasamṛddhasyā rāvaṇasya mahābhatinaḥ |
kimarthaṃ rākṣasendrasya bhāryātvam necchese'dhame ॥5-21-15॥
Translation
"O lowly one, why do you not desire the wifehood of that Lord of Rakshasas, the great-souled Ravana, who is prosperous in every way?"

"हे नीच (अधमे)! सब प्रकार से समृद्ध, महामनस्वी उस राक्षसराज रावण की पत्नी होना तुम किसलिए नहीं चाहती हो?"
English Commentary
Frustration mounts among the tormentors. The address shifts from flattering epithets to 'adhame' (O vile/lowly woman). In the twisted logic of the Rakshasis, refusing a 'sarvasamṛddhasya' (all-prosperous) king is an act of low intellect or class. They cannot comprehend a value system that prizes honor over prosperity. This verse marks a tonal shift from persuasion to abuse, questioning Sita's sanity and status for rejecting what they consider the ultimate prize.

अब राक्षसियों का धैर्य टूटने लगा है। वे सीता को 'अधमे' (नीच/अधम) कहकर अपमानित करती हैं। उनकी दृष्टि में रावण का प्रस्ताव ठुकराना मूर्खता और नीचता है। 'सर्वसमृद्धस्या' का अर्थ है जिसके पास बल, धन, कुल सब कुछ है। वे हैरान हैं ('किमर्थं' - किसलिए) कि सब कुछ प्राप्त होने की संभावना के बाद भी सीता मना कर रही हैं। यह संबोधन दर्शाता है कि साम-दाम (समझाना और प्रलोभन) के बाद अब वे अपमान और दबाव की नीति पर उतर आई हैं।
