तस्य नैरृतराजस्य राजराजस्य भामिनि ।
किं त्वं न कुरुषे बुद्धिं भार्यार्थे रावणस्य हि ।

tasya nairṛtarājasya rājarājasya bhāmini |
kiṃ tvaṃ na kuruṣe buddhiṃ bhāryārthe rāvaṇasya hi ॥5-21-18॥
Translation
"O beautiful woman, why do you not indeed make up your mind to be the wife of Ravana, the King of Nairritas (Rakshasas) and the King of Kings?"

"हे भामिनि (सुन्दरी)! तुम उस राक्षसों के राजा और राजाओं के भी राजा (महाराज) रावण की पत्नी बनने के लिए अपना मन क्यों नहीं बनाती?"
English Commentary
The Rakshasis appeal to Sita's intellect ('buddhi'). They address her as 'bhamini' (often implies a passionate or beautiful woman, sometimes one with a temper/pride), asking her to rationally consider the proposal. By calling Ravana 'Rājarājasya' (King of Kings), they reiterate his supreme status. The question is rhetorical and exasperated: given all the power, wealth, and influence described in previous verses, they find Sita’s hesitation incomprehensible and urge her to resolve her mind in favor of the union.

यहाँ रावण को 'राजराजस्य' (राजाओं का राजा) कहा गया है, जो कुबेर का भी विशेषण है (जिससे रावण ने लंका छीनी थी)। 'भामिनि' का अर्थ है सुन्दरी या कोप करने वाली स्त्री। राक्षसियाँ पूछ रही हैं कि सीता अपनी 'बुद्धि' (मन/विचार) को अनुकूल क्यों नहीं कर रही हैं। यह श्लोक अनुनय-विनय के चरण का समापन सा प्रतीत होता है, जहाँ वे तार्किक रूप से सीता को समझा रही हैं कि हठ छोड़कर रावण को स्वीकारना ही एकमात्र बुद्धिमानी है।
