जानासि हि यथा भीरु स्त्रीणां यौवनमध्रुवम् ।
यावन्न ते व्यतिक्रामेत्तावत्सुखमवाप्नुहि ।

Jānāsi hi yathā bhīru strīṇāṃ yauvanamadhruvam । Yāvanna te vyatikrāmettāvatsukhamavāpnuhi । । ॥5-22-29॥
Translation
You know, O timid one, that the youth of women is fleeting. While it has not yet passed, obtain happiness.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे भीरु! तुम जानती हो कि स्त्रियों का यौवन अस्थिर (नाशवान) होता है। जब तक यह बीत न जाए, तब तक सुख प्राप्त कर लो।
English Commentary
The tormentors use the fear of aging as a weapon. Arguing that youth is adhruvam (impermanent), they pressure Sita to seize the moment for carnal pleasure. This is a classic manipulative tactic: creating a sense of urgency to bypass moral judgment. By addressing her as bhīru (timid one), they imply that her resistance stems from fear of life rather than moral strength. They try to reduce human existence to mere biological enjoyment, ignoring the spiritual dimension of Sita’s wait.

यहाँ राक्षसियाँ सीता के मन में बुढ़ापे का भय उत्पन्न करने का प्रयास कर रही हैं। वे यौवन को 'अध्रुवम्' (अस्थिर) बताकर यह तर्क दे रही हैं कि समय बीतने के बाद सुंदरता और भोग का कोई मूल्य नहीं रहेगा। यह शुद्ध रूप से भौतिकवादी दृष्टिकोण है। वे सीता को 'भीरु' (डरपोक) कहकर संबोधित करती हैं, यह जताने के लिए कि धर्म का पालन करना साहस नहीं, बल्कि जीवन का आनंद लेने से डरना है। यह 'चारवाक' दर्शन जैसा है—'जब तक जियो सुख से जियो'—जो सीता के आदर्शों के पूर्णतः विपरीत है।
