उद्यानानि च रम्याणि पर्वतोपवनानि च ।
सह राक्षसराजेन चर त्वं मदिरेक्षणे ।
।

Udyānāni ca ramyāṇi parvatopavanāni ca । Saha rākṣasarājena cara tvaṃ madirekṣaṇe । । ॥5-22-30॥
Translation
Roam in beautiful gardens and mountain groves with the King of Rakshasas, O wine-eyed one.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे मदिराक्षी (मदमस्त नेत्रों वाली)! तुम राक्षसराज के साथ सुंदर उद्यानों और पर्वतीय उपवनों में विचरण करो।
English Commentary
The allure of luxury and nature is presented here. The Rakshasis paint a picture of romantic wanderings in mountain groves (parvatopavanāni). The epithet madirekṣaṇe (one with intoxicating or wine-like eyes) objectifies Sita, framing her solely as an object of desire meant for Ravana's enjoyment. This highlights the demons' inability to understand that for Sita, surrounding beauty is meaningless without Rama; their 'paradise' is her prison.

सीता जी को रिझाने के लिए राक्षसियाँ लंका के ऐश्वर्य का वर्णन कर रही हैं। वे उन्हें प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य—उद्यान और पर्वत—का भोग करने का निमंत्रण देती हैं। सीता जी को 'मदिरेक्षणे' कहना उनकी सुंदरता की प्रशंसा तो है, लेकिन इसमें एक कामुक दृष्टिकोण छिपा है। राक्षसियाँ चाहती हैं कि सीता अपनी तपस्विनी की भूमिका छोड़कर एक भोग्या बन जाएं। यह सीता जी के लिए अत्यंत कष्टकारी है क्योंकि उनके लिए राम के बिना स्वर्ग समान वाटिका भी नरक तुल्य है।
