विभजाम ततः सर्वा विवादो मे न रोचते ।
पेयमानीयतां क्षिप्रं माल्यं च विविधं बहु ।

Vibhajāma tataḥ sarvā vivādo me na rocate । Peyamānīyatāṃ kṣipraṃ mālyaṃ ca vividhaṃ bahu । । ॥5-22-39॥
Translation
"Let us divide her amongst us all; I do not like arguments. Quickly bring wine and many varieties of garlands."

"हम सब इसे आपस में बांट लें, मुझे विवाद (झगड़ा) पसंद नहीं है। जल्दी से मदिरा (पेय) और बहुत सी विविध मालाएं लाई जाएं।"
English Commentary
This verse highlights the grotesque festive nature of the Rakshasis. They view the prospect of killing and eating Sita not with hesitation, but as an occasion for celebration. यहाँ राक्षसी वृत्ति की चरम सीमा दिखाई देती है। वे सीता जी की हत्या को एक उत्सव (Party) के रूप में मनाने की योजना बना रही हैं। 'विभजाम' (बांट लें) शब्द दर्शाता है कि वे सीता को एक वस्तु या भोजन मात्र समझती हैं। मदिरा और मालाओं की मांग करना यह बताता है कि उनके लिए हिंसा और जश्न एक ही सिक्के के दो पहलू हैं। यह सीता जी के प्रति उनकी संवेदना की पूर्ण शून्यता को दर्शाता है।
