धन्या देवाः सगन्धर्वाः सिद्धाश्च परमर्षयः ।
मम पश्यन्ति ये नाथं रामं राजीवलोचनम् ।
।
॥५-२४-३९॥
Dhanyā devāḥ sagandharvāḥ siddhāśca paramarṣayaḥ |
Mama paśyanti ye nāthaṃ rāmaṃ rājīvalocanam ॥5-24-39॥
Translation
Fortunate indeed are the Devas, Gandharvas, Siddhas, and great Sages who can see my Lord, the lotus-eyed Rama (assuming he is now in heaven).

वे देवता, गंधर्व, सिद्ध और महर्षि धन्य हैं, जो मेरे स्वामी, कमल-नेत्र वाले श्रीराम का (स्वर्ग में) दर्शन कर रहे हैं।
English Commentary
Continuing the train of thought that Rama has passed away, Sita feels a pang of jealousy towards the celestial beings. She declares the gods and sages dhanyā (blessed/fortunate) because they now enjoy the company of Rama. The epithet rājīvalocanam (lotus-eyed) emphasizes the beauty and grace she misses so dearly. It is a tragic irony: while the gods are actually waiting for Rama to kill Ravana on earth, Sita assumes they are enjoying his presence in heaven. This highlights her isolation and lack of information about the outside world.

पिछले श्लोक के विचार को आगे बढ़ाते हुए, सीता जी कल्पना कर लेती हैं कि श्रीराम अब स्वर्ग में हैं। वे उन देवताओं और ऋषियों को "धन्य" (भाग्यशाली) मानती हैं जो अब श्रीराम के साथ हैं। यहाँ "राजीवलोचनम्" (कमल जैसे नेत्रों वाले) शब्द का प्रयोग श्रीराम के दिव्य सौंदर्य और सौम्यता को याद करने के लिए किया गया है। सीता जी को लगता है कि पृथ्वी का दुर्भाग्य है जो उसने श्रीराम को खो दिया, और स्वर्ग का सौभाग्य है जो उन्हें श्रीराम मिल गए। यह विलाप की एक अवस्था है जहाँ व्यक्ति अपनी आशंका को ही सत्य मानकर प्रतिक्रिया देने लगता है।
