धन्याः खलु महात्मानो मुनयः सत्यसंमताः ।
जितात्मानो महाभागा येषां न स्तः प्रियाप्रिय ।

Dhanyāḥ khalu mahātmāno munayaḥ satyasaṃmatāḥ |
Jitātmāno mahābhāgā yeṣāṃ na staḥ priyāpriye ॥5-24-47॥
Translation
Fortunate indeed are the great-souled Sages, devoted to truth, who have conquered their selves and for whom there is neither the beloved nor the unloved.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वास्तव में वे महात्मा और सत्यनिष्ठ मुनि ही धन्य हैं, जिन्होंने अपनी आत्मा को जीत लिया है (जितात्मा) और जिनके लिए न कोई प्रिय है और न कोई अप्रिय।
English Commentary
In a moment of profound philosophical realization, Sita envies the detached sages. She identifies the root of her suffering: attachment. She praises the Jitātmāno (those who have conquered their minds) because they lack the duality of priyāpriye (the pleasant/beloved and the unpleasant/unloved). Sita realizes that her excruciating pain stems from her deep love for Rama and her aversion to Ravana. The sages, having transcended these dualities, are the only ones truly at peace. This verse elevates her monologue from mere grief to spiritual wisdom.

अपने कष्ट के मूल कारण (मोह और प्रेम) को समझकर सीता जी अब उन ऋषियों की प्रशंसा करती हैं। वे कहती हैं कि वे मुनि "धन्य" (भाग्यशाली) हैं जिनके जीवन में "प्रियाप्रिये" (प्रिय और अप्रिय) का द्वंद्व नहीं है। सीता जी का कष्ट श्रीराम के प्रति उनके अत्यधिक प्रेम (प्रिय) और रावण के प्रति भय/घृणा (अप्रिय) से उत्पन्न हुआ है। वे महसूस करती हैं कि वीतराग (राग-द्वेष से मुक्त) संतों की स्थिति उनसे कहीं बेहतर है क्योंकि वे इस भावनात्मक बवंडर से सुरक्षित हैं। यह श्लोक सीता जी के दार्शनिक चिंतन और वैराग्य भाव को प्रकट करता है।
