ख्यातः प्राज्ञः कृतज्ञश्च सानुक्रोशश्च राघवः ।
सद्वृत्तो निरनुक्रोशः शङ्के मद्भाग्यसंक्षयात् ।

khyātaḥ prājñaḥ kṛtajñaśca sānukrośaśca rāghavaḥ |
sadvṛtto niranukrośaḥ śaṅke madbhāgyasaṃkṣayāt ॥5-26-13॥
Translation
Raghava is renowned, wise, grateful, compassionate, and of virtuous conduct. I fear that due to the exhaustion of my good fortune, he has become pitiless (towards me).
हिंदी अनुवाद
राघव (राम) विख्यात हैं, बुद्धिमान हैं, कृतज्ञ हैं, दयालु हैं और सदाचारी हैं। फिर भी मुझे शंका है कि मेरे भाग्य के क्षय (दुर्भाग्य) के कारण वे (मेरे प्रति) दयारहित हो गए हैं।
English Commentary
Sita lists Rama's virtues: prājñaḥ (wise), kṛtajña (grateful), and sānukrośa (compassionate). However, she faces the cognitive dissonance of his absence. To resolve this, she attributes his apparent lack of action not to a flaw in his character, but to madbhāgyasaṃkṣayāt (the depletion of my own luck/merit). She fears that her misfortune has acted as a barrier, making even the compassionate Rama appear niranukrośa (pitiless). It highlights her unwavering faith in him, shifting the blame to cosmic destiny.

सीता जी के मन में पुनः विषाद और तर्क का द्वंद्व है। वे राम के गुणों (प्रज्ञा, कृतज्ञता, दया) को जानती हैं, किन्तु वास्तविकता यह है कि राम उन्हें बचाने नहीं आए। इस विरोधाभास का समाधान वे राम में दोष निकालकर नहीं, बल्कि अपने भाग्य को दोषी मानकर करती हैं। 'मद्भाग्यसंक्षयात्' (मेरे भाग्य के नष्ट होने से) - यह भारतीय नारी का संस्कार है जो पति को दोष देने के बजाय स्वयं के कर्मों या प्रारब्ध को उत्तरदायी मानती है। उन्हें लगता है कि शायद उनका पुण्य समाप्त हो गया है, इसीलिए दयालु राम भी निष्ठुर हो गए हैं।
