कामं मध्ये समुद्रस्य लङ्केयं दुष्प्रधर्षणा ।
न तु राघवबाणानां गतिरोधीह विद्यते ।

Kāmaṃ madhye samudrasya laṅkeyaṃ duṣpradharṣaṇā । Na tu rāghavabāṇānāṃ gatirodhīha vidyate । । ॥5-26-17॥
Translation
Granted, this Lanka is situated in the middle of the ocean and is difficult to be assaulted, but there is nothing here that can obstruct the path of Raghava's (Rama's) arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यह सच है कि यह लंका नगरी समुद्र के बीच में स्थित होने के कारण (शत्रुओं द्वारा) कठिनता से जीती जा सकती है, किंतु श्री रघुनाथ जी के बाणों की गति को रोकने वाला यहाँ कोई नहीं है।
English Commentary
Sita acknowledges the strategic advantage of Lanka. Being an island fortress surrounded by the ocean, it is indeed "duṣpradharṣaṇā" (difficult to attack or unassailable). However, she immediately counters this physical reality with a spiritual and martial truth: nothing can stop Rama's arrows. She draws a sharp distinction between conventional warfare, where geography matters, and Rama’s celestial weaponry, which transcends physical barriers. This verse showcases her absolute conviction. Even while imprisoned in an fortress considered impregnable by the gods and demons, she remains certain that no wall or ocean is thick enough to withstand the velocity and power of Rama’s arrows once they are released.

सीता जी यहाँ लंका की भौगोलिक सुरक्षा और श्री राम की दिव्य शक्ति के बीच तुलना कर रही हैं। वे स्वीकार करती हैं कि रणनीतिक रूप से लंका अभेद्य है—चारों ओर समुद्र है, जिसे पार करना साधारण सेना के लिए असंभव है। रावण इसी सुरक्षा के अहंकार में जीता है। परन्तु, सीता का विश्वास अटूट है। वे कहती हैं कि भौतिक बाधाएँ (जैसे समुद्र या दीवारें) साधारण अस्त्रों को रोक सकती हैं, किन्तु राम के बाणों के लिए कोई अवरोध नहीं है। यह श्लोक यह दर्शाता है कि सीता जी को राम की शस्त्रास्त्र विद्या पर कितना गहरा भरोसा है; उनके लिए राम के बाण केवल हथियार नहीं, बल्कि अमोघ शक्ति हैं जो किसी भी सीमा को लांघ सकते हैं।
