ततो निहतानाथानां राक्षसीनां गृहे गृहे ।
यथा ऽहमेवं रुदती तथा भूयो न संशयः ।

Tato nihatanāthānāṃ rākṣasīnāṃ gṛhe gṛhe । Yathā 'hamevaṃ rudatī tathā bhūyo na saṃśayaḥ । । ॥5-26-24॥
Translation
Then, in every house, Rakshasa women, with their lords killed, will weep just as I am weeping now; there is no doubt about this.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब (स्वामियों के मारे जाने पर) घर-घर में अनाथ हुई राक्षसियाँ, जैसे मैं रो रही हूँ, वैसे ही रोयेंगे; इसमें कोई संशय नहीं है।
English Commentary
Sita prophesies the social cost of the coming war. She draws a parallel between her current tears and the future tears of the Rakshasa women. Once Rama attacks, the Rakshasa warriors (the "lords" or husbands) will be slain, leaving their wives widowed and destitute. The phrase gṛhe gṛhe (in every house) indicates that the sorrow will be universal across Lanka. Despite her anger at Ravana, this verse touches on a grim reality of war: the suffering of women. She asserts this with absolute certainty (na saṃśayaḥ), foreseeing that Ravana’s actions will essentially export Sita's grief into every home in his kingdom.

सीता जी अपनी वर्तमान पीड़ा की तुलना भविष्य में लंका की स्त्रियों की पीड़ा से करती हैं। यह उनकी दूरदर्शिता है। वे देख पा रही हैं कि रावण के पाप का फल पूरी लंका को भोगना पड़ेगा। 'गृहे गृहे' (घर-घर में) शब्द बताता है कि विनाश व्यापक होगा। यद्यपि वे स्वयं पीड़ित हैं, फिर भी वे एक नारी के रूप में उस आगामी वैधव्य और शोक को महसूस कर सकती हैं जो राक्षसनियों पर आने वाला है। 'न संशयः' (कोई संदेह नहीं) यह पुष्टि करता है कि युद्ध का परिणाम तय है—राम की विजय और राक्षसों का विनाश। यह कर्मफल का सिद्धांत है—जो आज सीता को रुला रहा है, कल वही अपनी स्त्रियों के रोने का कारण बनेगा।
