अन्विष्य रक्षसां लङ्कां कुर्याद् रामः सलक्ष्मणः ।
न हि ताभ्यां रिपुर्दृष्टो मुहूर्तमपि जीवति ।
।
॥५-२६-२५॥
Anviṣya rakṣasāṃ laṅkāṃ kuryād rāmaḥ salakṣmaṇaḥ । Na hi tābhyāṃ ripurdṛṣṭo muhūrtamapi jīvati । । ॥5-26-25॥
Translation
Rama, accompanied by Lakshmana, will search for and find this Lanka of the Rakshasas. For indeed, an enemy seen by them does not survive even for a moment.

राम और लक्ष्मण राक्षसों की इस लंका को खोज निकालेंगे। क्योंकि उन दोनों के द्वारा देखा गया शत्रु एक मुहूर्त (क्षण भर) भी जीवित नहीं रहता।
English Commentary
Sita emphasizes the inevitability of the enemy's death once engaged by the two brothers. She states that Rama and Lakshmana will actively hunt down (anviṣya) Lanka. The core assertion is that no enemy lives for even a muhūrta (a fleeting moment/48 minutes) once they fall within the brothers' line of sight. This implies that the battle is won not just by fighting, but by the mere act of Rama and Lakshmana locating the target. The gaze of the Raghu brothers is equated to the gaze of Death itself for the unrighteous.

इस श्लोक में 'दृष्टो' (देखा गया) शब्द अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। सीता जी का कहना है कि राम और लक्ष्मण की दृष्टि मृत्युतुल्य है। जैसे ही उनकी नजर शत्रु पर पड़ती है, शत्रु का काल निश्चित हो जाता है। वे मानती हैं कि लंका कितनी भी छिपी क्यों न हो, वे उसे 'अन्विष्य' (खोज) लेंगे। यह राम और लक्ष्मण की जोड़ी की अजेयता का वर्णन है। सीता को विश्वास है कि दूरी और गोपनीयता ही रावण को बचाए हुए है; जिस क्षण यह पर्दा हटेगा और वे सामने आएंगे, रावण का जीवन 'मुहूर्त' भर भी नहीं टिकेगा।
