अकार्यं ये न जानन्ति नैर्ऋताः पापकारिणः ।
अधर्मात्तु महोत्पातो भविष्यति हि साम्प्रतम् ।
।
॥५-२६-३५॥
Akāryaṃ ye na jānanti nairṛtāḥ pāpakāriṇaḥ |
Adharmāttu mahotpāto bhaviṣyati hi sāmpratam ॥5-26-35॥
Translation
These sinful demons do not know what ought not to be done. Indeed, a great calamity will now arise due to this unrighteousness.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जो पाप करने वाले राक्षस (नैर्ऋत) यह नहीं जानते कि क्या नहीं करना चाहिए (अकार्य)। इस अधर्म के कारण निश्चय ही अब महान उत्पात (विनाश) होगा।
English Commentary
Sita analyzes the root cause of the Rakshasas' impending doom: their lack of moral discrimination. She states they do not know akaryam (that which should not be done). In the Dharmic worldview, ignorance of the law is not a defense; rather, it is a catalyst for destruction. She predicts a mahotpata (great calamity/upheaval) arising directly from this adharma. This is a philosophical assertion that moral corruption has physical consequences in the world. Sita views the situation not just as a personal captivity, but as a violation of cosmic order that must inevitably correct itself through a violent upheaval.

यहाँ सीता जी राक्षसों की नैतिक अंधता (moral blindness) पर टिप्पणी कर रही हैं। वे कहती हैं कि राक्षसों को 'कार्य' (करने योग्य) और 'अकार्य' (न करने योग्य) का विवेक नहीं है। धर्म और मर्यादा का उल्लंघन ही उनका स्वभाव है। 'महोत्पातो' का अर्थ है बड़ा विनाश या प्रलय। सीता जी का तर्क यह है कि ब्रह्मांडीय नियम के अनुसार, जब 'अधर्म' अपनी चरम सीमा पर पहुँच जाता है, तो प्रकृति और नियति मिलकर उसका संतुलन बनाती हैं, जो प्रायः विनाश के रूप में होता है। उनका यह कथन केवल उनके अपने जीवन के लिए नहीं, बल्कि पूरी राक्षस जाति के लिए एक चेतावनी है कि उनके पापों का परिणाम अब अवश्यंभावी है।
