भर्तुरङ्कात् समुत्पत्य ततः कमललोचना ।
चन्द्रसूर्यो मया दृष्टा पाणिना परिमार्जती ।

bharturaṅkāt samutpatya tataḥ kamalalocanā |
candrasūryau mayā dṛṣṭā pāṇinā parimārzatī ॥5-27-15॥
Translation
Then, I saw the lotus-eyed Sita rising from her husband's lap and gently stroking the Sun and the Moon with her hand.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, मैंने देखा कि कमल नयनी सीता पति की गोद से उठकर अपने हाथों से सूर्य और चन्द्रमा को स्पर्श कर रही हैं (सहला रही हैं)।
English Commentary
This is a verse of profound cosmic significance. Sita is not merely a rescued damsel here; she is depicted as a cosmic entity. Touching the Sun and Moon (candrasūryau parimārzatī) signifies dominion over time and the cosmos. It implies that her chastity gives her power that rivals or controls the celestial bodies. Rising from her husband's lap to touch the heavens suggests that her union with Rama elevates her to a position where she interacts directly with the divine forces governing the universe.

यह अत्यंत अद्भुत और रहस्यमयी दृश्य है। सीता का सूर्य और चन्द्रमा को स्पर्श करना उनके 'पातिव्रत्य' तेज और लौकिक सीमाओं से परे उनकी शक्ति को दर्शाता है। प्राचीन साहित्य में सूर्य और चन्द्रमा साक्षी माने जाते हैं; सीता का उन्हें स्पर्श करना यह सिद्ध करता है कि प्रकृति की ये शक्तियां उनके अनुकूल हैं और वे स्वयं तेजस्विता में उनसे कम नहीं हैं। 'कमललोचना' शब्द उनकी सौम्यता को बनाए रखता है, भले ही वे ब्रह्मांडीय शक्तियों के साथ क्रीड़ा कर रही हों। यह सीता के महाशक्ति रूप का दर्शन है।
