पुनरेव मया दृष्टो रावणो राक्षसेश्वरः ।
पतितो ऽवाक्शिरा भूमौ गर्दभाद्भयमोहितः ।

५.२७.२५।। ॥५-२७-२५॥
punareva mayā dṛṣṭo rāvaṇo rākṣaseśvaraḥ |
patito 'vākśirā bhūmau gardabhādbhayamohitaḥ ॥5-27-25॥
Translation
"Once again I saw Ravana, the Lord of Rakshasas, bewildered by fear, falling headlong (head-downwards) from the donkey onto the ground."

"फिर मैंने देखा कि राक्षसों का राजा रावण, भय से व्याकुल होकर गधे की पीठ से सिर के बल जमीन पर गिर पड़ा है।"
English Commentary
This verse presents a powerful image of reversal. Ravana, the terror of the worlds, is seen falling avākśirā (head-downwards). In Indian symbolism, the head represents dignity and ego; falling head-first signifies total disgrace and the loss of rational thought. Falling from a donkey—an animal associated with ignorance and stubbornness—suggests that his own obstinacy and lack of wisdom are the causes of his downfall. The mighty king is reduced to a frightened, disoriented figure (bhayamohitaḥ), stripping away his aura of invincibility before the eyes of the dreamer.

स्वप्न का यह दृश्य रावण के पूर्ण पतन का सूचक है। 'अवाक्शिरा' (सिर के बल/नीचे की ओर सिर करके गिरना) शास्त्रों में अत्यंत अशुभ माना गया है; यह पद, प्रतिष्ठा और जीवन के विलोम होने का प्रतीक है। जो सिर कभी अहंकार से ऊँचा रहता था और जिसके दस सिरों का भय तीनों लोकों में व्याप्त था, वह आज भूमि पर लोट रहा है। 'गर्दभात्' (गधे से) गिरना यह दर्शाता है कि उसकी कुबुद्धि (गधा) ने ही उसे गिराया है। भयमोहितः (भय से मोहित) होना यह सिद्ध करता है कि अंत समय में उसका सारा साहस लुप्त हो चुका है।
