प्रणिपातप्रसन्ना हि मैथिली जनकात्मजा ।
अलमेषा परित्रातुं राक्षस्यो महतो भयात् ।
।
॥५-२७-४४॥
Praṇipātaprasannā hi maithilī janakātmajā । Alameṣā paritrātuṃ rākṣasyo mahato bhayāt । । ॥5-27-44॥
Translation
This Maithili, the daughter of Janaka, is pleased simply by bowing down/surrender. O Rakshasis, she is capable enough to save you from this great danger.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यह जनकनन्दिनी मैथिली केवल प्रणाम करने मात्र से प्रसन्न हो जाती हैं। हे राक्षसियों! यह तुम्हें उस महान भय से बचाने में पूर्णतः समर्थ हैं।
English Commentary
This verse beautifully highlights Sita's forgiving nature. Trijata describes her as Pranipata-prasanna—one who is satisfied merely by the act of bowing down or surrendering. There is no need for elaborate penance; a genuine plea is enough. By calling her the daughter of Janaka, Trijata evokes her noble lineage of wisdom and virtue. She assures the terrified demons that Sita is not vindictive; she possesses the spiritual authority ('Alam') to grant them immunity from Rama’s wrath. It is a testament to Sita as the embodiment of grace.

यहाँ सीता जी के 'कारुण्य' (करुणा) गुण का वर्णन है। 'प्रणिपातप्रसन्ना'—अर्थात उन्हें प्रसन्न करने के लिए किसी बड़े यज्ञ या उपहार की आवश्यकता नहीं है, केवल सच्चा समर्पण और नमन ही पर्याप्त है। सीता 'जनकनन्दिनी' हैं, उच्च कुल की हैं, इसलिए उनका हृदय विशाल है। त्रिजटा विश्वास दिलाती है कि सीता प्रतिशोध लेने वाली स्त्री नहीं हैं; यदि तुम शरण में जाओगी, तो वह तुम्हें निश्चित रूप से बचा लेंगी। यह श्लोक बताता है कि शक्ति (राम) को शांत करने के लिए क्षमा (सीता) का आश्रय लेना चाहिए।
